On 30 April 2025, Rudy Hemeleers (51Biz) presented on behalf of MMTP, the Luxembourg Ministry responsible for Inland Navigation, at the MoselKommission meeting. This important event gathered key stakeholders to discuss the state of play and future perspectives of the eFTI4ALL project.
The presentation highlighted the benefits of eFTI for logistics operators and control authorities, emphasizing improved efficiency, reduced paperwork, faster processing, and enhanced compliance with EU regulations. In his intervention, Rudy outlined practical steps that can be taken in 2025, including creating a common understanding, developing multimodal data models, and launching initial pilot projects.
The meeting underscored the importance of harmonizing regulation and data integration across Member States to enable a seamless and interoperable eFTI framework. It also showcased how eFTI4ALL contributes towards the broader EU digital and green transport strategy by simplifying information exchange and supporting sustainable logistics.
