On Wednesday, 2 September 2026, the Danish Civil Aviation and Railway Authority (Trafikstyrelsen) organised the third national stakeholder dialogue meeting on the implementation of eFTI in Denmark.
Held in a hybrid format, with participants joining both in Copenhagen and online via Teams, the meeting aimed to provide an update on national implementation while creating space for discussion between public authorities, industry organisations, transport operators and solution providers.
The programme combined both industry and authority perspectives, before moving into a joint discussion on testing and piloting. From the industry side, contributions came from a potential eFTI platform provider, a waste and transport operator, and an industry association. On the public authority side, presentations focused on the joint Nordic eFTI Gate, Danish authority and control solutions, practical roadside controls, and interfaces with other public-sector systems.
The event brought together a broad range of Danish stakeholders, including representatives from transport and business associations, police, customs, environmental authorities, emergency services and transport operators.
A recurring theme throughout the meeting was how to make eFTI work effectively in practice. Discussions focused in particular on interoperability, integration with existing systems, usability for both operators and authorities, and the importance of practical testing.
The meeting once again highlighted the value of regular national dialogue in supporting implementation and ensuring that the perspectives of both public and private stakeholders are reflected in the transition towards digital freight transport information.
