On 4 February 2026, Denmark organised a Member State National Event under the framework of eFTI4ALL, in the form of a workshop dedicated to Danish Control Authorities.
The workshop brought together the relevant national authorities to advance preparations for the implementation of the eFTI Regulation. Denmark has currently identified three authorities that will require access to an eFTI solution in order to comply with the Regulation from 2027 onwards.
Objectives of the workshop
The event aimed to:
-
Establish a common understanding of the overall eFTI architecture
-
Define the user journey for control authorities
-
Identify the technical requirements for authority solutions, including security requirements and user interface needs
-
Prepare a draft division of responsibilities between the authorities, distinguishing between:
-
the gate function (under the responsibility of the Danish Transport Authority), and
-
the future systems of the control authorities
-
Supporting national readiness for eFTI
This national initiative represents an important step in ensuring that Danish authorities are aligned, technically prepared and organisationally coordinated ahead of the full application of the eFTI Regulation.
By fostering early cooperation between competent authorities and clarifying system responsibilities, Denmark is actively contributing to a smoother and more structured transition towards digital freight information exchange.
