From 17 to 18 September 2025, the Dangerous Goods and Safety Days event took place at the Nürburgring, bringing together around 220 experts in dangerous goods transport. Karl Christoph Strack from GBK Trusted Partner GmbH, representing the eFTI4ALL project, had the opportunity to present the current status of the eFTI Regulation and its impact on the transport of dangerous goods.

Karl Strack’s presentation not only addressed the current progress of the eFTI4ALL project but also detailed how electronic freight transport information (eFTI) will operate after the July 2027 implementation deadline. He also clarified distinctions between the eFTI4EU and eFTI4ALL projects, differences between the eFTI Gate and eFTI Platform, and specific requirements for transporting dangerous goods after 2027. Moreover, during the event, GBK managed a booth to engage directly directly with attendees.

Attendees included dangerous goods experts from major German haulage companies, chemical and oil and gas industry representatives, regional police departments from Hessen, Baden-Württemberg, and Rheinland Pfalz, the Federal Office for Logistics and Mobility (BALM), the German Federal Rail Authority (EBA), and various regional authorities.

The eFTI Regulation’s digitalisation of transport documents is of paramount importance for dangerous goods, given the safety-critical nature of these shipments. By enabling electronic and interoperable transport documentation, eFTI4ALL supports more efficient and secure transport, ensuring compliance with stringent safety and environmental standards.

The event demonstrated the growing recognition among stakeholders of the value that digital freight transport information brings to the logistics industry, particularly in handling dangerous goods. GBK Trusted Partner’s active participation and representation at the Nürburgring event underscore the project’s role in advancing digital solutions for safer and more efficient freight transport across Europe.
