From 6 to 14 September 2025, the Hellenic Institute of Transport (HIT-CERTH) proudly represented the eFTI4ALL project at the Thessaloniki International Fair, one of the most important annual events in Greece for innovation, business, and international cooperation.
Throughout the week, HIT experts engaged with visitors, presenting the goals and progress of eFTI4ALL and raising awareness about the EU’s broader efforts to modernise logistics through digitalisation.
At the heart of these efforts lies the eFTI Regulation, which provides the legal framework for replacing paper-based documents with trusted electronic freight transport information. This shift promises to streamline processes, reduce costs, and increase the overall efficiency of freight transport — a crucial factor for Europe’s competitiveness and cohesion.
Building on the results of the eFTI4EU project, eFTI4ALL is expanding the implementation of eFTI across more EU Member States, involving logistics operators, piloting new use cases such as dangerous goods and multimodal transport, and ensuring interoperability between national eFTI Gates and Platforms.
Greece is playing an active role in this journey, alongside many other countries, to make logistics smarter, greener, and more connected across Europe.
