The new working season for eFTI4ALL Task Group 2.3 kicked off with an in-person meeting in Tallinn, bringing together project partners to discuss some of the key technical issues shaping the development of eFTI platforms.
Within eFTI4ALL, Task Group 2.3 focuses specifically on eFTI platforms, bringing together more than 30 experts from the eFTI4ALL project consortium, involved in their development and implementation.
The Tallinn meeting also benefited from the participation of public-sector colleagues from Transport Malta and Trafikverket, adding further operational and authority perspectives to the discussion.
Among the main topics addressed were:
- the requirements needed for minimum platform certification;
- how DIWASS and eFTI should interact;
- how platform developers should respond to the new XSD requirements.
The discussions reflected the complexity of preparing eFTI platforms for implementation, with participants exchanging questions, technical considerations and practical ideas on how to move forward.
The meeting also showed the value of bringing platform developers and public authorities into the same discussion. As the eFTI ecosystem continues to develop, close coordination between technical teams and the public sector will remain essential to ensure that future solutions are interoperable, compliant and operationally fit for purpose.
