On Wednesday March 12th, 2025, Essencia, in collaboration with CHEMION, CURRENTA Gruppe, and The Trilateral Chemical Region, hosted an interactive workshop in Leverkusen (Germany) to explore digitalisation in chemical and logistics transport. A key focus of the event was the upcoming implementation of the eFTI Regulation and the necessary steps for shippers to start preparing.
During the session, eFTI expert Rudy Hemeleers from 51BizLuxembourg provided an overview of the state of play in eFTI implementation, outlining what industry stakeholders can do in 2025 to ensure a smooth transition. His presentation (available at this link) covered three key aspects:
- Creating a common understanding of eFTI requirements
- Developing sector-specific processes and data models
- Launching pilot projects to test digital solutions in real-world logistics scenarios
As digital transformation accelerates, initiatives like this workshop provide essential knowledge-sharing opportunities to help companies navigate the evolving regulatory landscape.
