On 20 May 2026, Sweden hosted its first national meeting dedicated exclusively to eFTI, bringing together Competent Authorities, Economic Operators and platform providers to discuss the implementation of the eFTI Regulation and its opportunities for the transport and logistics sector.
The workshop explored the relationship between eFTI and other digital initiatives, including eCMR, eTIR, Peppol Logistics, ESG requirements and the EU Fish Regulation, while also presenting opportunities to participate in upcoming eFTI pilot activities.
The event welcomed representatives from key Swedish organisations, including the Swedish Transport Agency, the Swedish Coast Guard, the Swedish Agency for Digital Governance, the Swedish Transport Administration, transport associations and logistics stakeholders. Bringing together public and private actors in the same room marked an important milestone in strengthening Sweden’s national dialogue on eFTI implementation and preparing for the next steps towards digital freight transport.
