On October 16, 2025, the Polish Chamber of Commerce for Electronics and Telecommunications (KIGEiT) — partner in the eFTI4ALL Project — hosted a national webinar titled “Experiences from testing cross-border eFTI data exchange on the first section of the future European Corridor.”

The event brought together representatives from the German Federal Ministry of Transport, Digital Logistics Center of Excellence (DLK), and several Polish public institutions, including the Ministry of Infrastructure, the Ministry of Finance, the Chief Inspectorate of Road Transport, the Regional Road Transport Inspectorate in Katowice, and the Inland Navigation Offices in Wrocław and Szczecin.

The meeting focused on testing the electronic exchange of freight transport information (eFTI) between government institutions in different EU Member States — a major step toward the full implementation of the eFTI Regulation (EU 2020/1056).

During the session, participants discussed the first stage of cross-border testing, which has already been successfully conducted between Estonia and Latvia. These initial results demonstrate the feasibility of seamless data exchange between competent authorities, paving the way for interoperable, paperless communication across Europe’s transport corridors.

As part of this next phase, Poland has been invited to join the testing initiative, offering an opportunity for national institutions to gain hands-on experience in the practical use of eFTI platforms. Importantly, both the testing process and access to the external testing environment are being offered free of charge to participating Polish government bodies.

By engaging national stakeholders in real-life testing and cooperation, KIGEiT continues to play a vital role in supporting the transition toward digital, efficient, and secure freight transport systems across Europe — and in ensuring that Poland is actively contributing to the development of the future European eFTI Corridor.
