On 31 March, a national webinar was organised in Poland, bringing together representatives from key public authorities to deepen their understanding of the upcoming implementation of the eFTI Regulation.

The session featured contributions from experts of eFTI4ALL partner Digilogistika Keskus and focused on both the implementation framework and the practical functioning of eFTI systems. Participants included representatives from the Polish Ministry of Infrastructure, the Ministry of Finance (National Revenue Administration), the General Inspectorate of Road Transport, and several Provincial Road Transport Inspectorates.

Building on international pilot experience

The webinar followed a recent event held in Vilnius on 18 March, which marked the completion of an eFTI pilot in Lithuania. This pilot represented the second phase of international interoperability testing and formed part of a broader corridor connecting Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Germany and the Czech Republic.

Insights from the pilot were presented during the session, offering participants a practical demonstration of how eFTI systems operate in real conditions. By showcasing real use cases, the pilot helped illustrate the benefits of digital data exchange and the potential of eFTI to support cross-border freight transport.

Raising awareness and supporting early implementation

Given that Poland is currently at an early stage of eFTI implementation, the webinar placed particular emphasis on knowledge sharing and awareness-raising. Rather than focusing on detailed technical questions, the discussion addressed the broader opportunities and challenges associated with adopting eFTI at national level.

This approach was well received by participants, who highlighted the importance of building a solid understanding of the system before moving into more advanced stages of implementation.
