On 6 February 2026, Sweden organised a national webinar dedicated to the digitalisation of freight transport, with a strong focus on the implementation of the eFTI Regulation. The event was led by representatives from eFI4ALL project coordinator Trafikverket and brought together stakeholders interested in the ongoing transformation of transport and logistics systems.

The webinar provided an overview of current digitalisation initiatives at both national and European level, highlighting how data sharing and interoperability can support more efficient and sustainable freight transport. Particular attention was given to the role of eFTI in enabling paperless information exchange between economic operators and authorities.

Speakers also addressed the broader EU policy context, including the European Data Strategy and the development of common European data spaces for mobility and logistics. The discussion underlined the importance of collaboration between public and private actors, as well as the need for harmonised standards and governance frameworks.

This national event reflects Sweden’s active engagement in advancing digital freight transport and contributing to the broader eFTI ecosystem, alongside ongoing EU co-funded projects such as eFTI4ALL and its sister initiatives eFTIEU and eFTI4LIVE.
